Evaluation

I presented my finished website to my client and everything went well and was according to the plan. The client liked it and thought the client liked the colour change of my background .

Changes made to website:

  • The Background colour is different

It Meets the specifications that the client asked for:
  • Roll over effect
  • It is View able on 1024 x 768 resolution screen.
  • I used Google fonts to get my H1, H2, and P
  • Buttons weren't used in the end because the client decided on a link bar with the roll over effect that was easily changed

Final Concept

This is an image of the concept that the client has accepted.

I had to make two different backgrounds and banners to send to the client and then get feedback on which background and banner the client wanted. I sent the final concept to the client and they went with it.

update

I have changed my background. i had my client meeting and I presented the webpage template. They wanted to change the background so the buttons are at the top of the page.  I had to take out the buttons in PS.

I added div tags for my banner and buttons.

I separated out my styles so that it is all in the external stylesheet.

I need to redo the buttons in Illustrator and I will need a lesson on that.

Key Factor Report

Design Key Factors:

Image Formats: There are three main types of Image Formats which are JPG, GIF, and PNG this mean thats i will have to change my photoshop image into a JPG, GIF, or PNG. Research

Screen Resolution:Research

Font:Research

Colour Scheme: The Colour Scheme Must be fit for the purpose and target audience, it must also be websafe so that the site shows up on the web.

Resources Key Factors:
There is only one major resource that is needed is Time Management. this is because if you dont manage you time you may fall behind and not complete your work. you can manage your time with planning tools http://zazubu.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/planning-tools.html which gives a schedule to keep you up to date.

Societal Key Factors:
The main factor here is copyright this means i will have to make most of the pictures myself.
when using images made by others i will have to make sure that the images can be used and that it is usable under the creative common licenses. i also have to make sure that i dont infringe copyright when getting image from google.

Screen Resolution Research ~ Tommi

What is the most common screen size use for 2013?
Today, most visitors have a screen resolution higher than 1024x768 pixels

i will be using the screen size resolution of 1024x768

according to wikipedia the maximum screen size for a regular 19" screen is 1268x1024 pixels
but the resolution can become larger depending on the screen size e.g using a lcd t.v as a monitor.

It will show how good my website looks and how clear it will look to the people using my page.

~Tommi

My gantt chart says that for today the 11th of june i should be working on my final brief but i am not up to date because  of exam and lost three periods. the school also had a long weekend because of the queens birthday and teachers only day. i also had 2 days off.
